WELCOME TO

Gary Jonathan

Welcome to the third edition of Gary Jonathan.

As I thought about the production of this third edition of Gary Jonathan, it wasn’t readily apparent what the theme of this edition would be.  I know that spring has arrived, and we are beginning to see longer days, blooms of colorful flowers and trees, and warmer weather.   However, we are currently facing, what appears to be, a whole new world.   Many have lost their lives through a pandemic disease known as the Corona Virus (COVID-19).   Many Americans, and those abroad have encountered an unprecedented new way of living that has changed lives and modes of operation.   Countries, states and counties across the world have ordered mandatory at-home stays.  Thought processes have shifted. Many are suffering, scared and concerned about their future.  The economic state has taken a drastic turn to a state of recession.  Many businesses have been forced to close their doors for an unknown period.  Work from home has taken an upswing and social distancing is the hottest trend.  Out of everything that is happening in the world today, there are some who remain resilient, hopeful and vigilant. There are those who are simply empowered.   Empowered to embrace change and empowered to make a difference.

Empowerment speaks to our ability to take accountability for our lives.  Doing away with excuses as to why we cannot, and exercising faith and endurance to do what seems to be impossible.

Are you empowered?   Are you making a difference in the world today?   Are you accountable for sharing what you know with others and lending a hand to help someone else?   All questions that we need to answer on a regular basis.  Although answers to these questions may vary and some answers may be more relevant based on life’s timing, we should be in a perpetual state of empowerment.  Where there is a will to do, there is a way.

In this edition of Gary Jonathan, I introduce you to four amazing individuals who embody empowerment.  Dr. Adrienne Booth JohnsonLee BrownNiki Pattharakositkul, and Christopher Taylor have done great things in their respective communities, and ultimately, the world.  Their stories speak of courage, tenacity, fearlessness and determination.

Also, in this edition, I am pleased to have back two very inspiring writers, Leah Alexander, and Life Coach, Berlinda Dorsey.  Leah offers an insightful article on Airbnb’s and Coach Dorsey sheds great perspective on life.

While you still have the precious breath of life, I encourage you to be empowered to change lives, make a difference and bless others.

These are different times and the more we empower ourselves, we can empower others.

Remain safe.

“Live and live well.”
